Hi Sis, I'm Dr. Alison Harris Welcher.
In January 2020, I welcomed my first son into the world,two months before the pandemic shut everything down. Suddenly, I was nursing my baby while hopping on Zoom calls, trying to lead at work and show up as a new mom.
Despite my doctorate, my years of leadership experience, my Harvard credentials... I felt stretched, exhausted, and unsure if I could keep it all together.
I tried therapy. It helped, but didn't address the identity shift. I talked to my mother and mother-in-law but their perspective was "all in on motherhood." I spoke with friends, but they didn't have high-pressure jobs like mine, or they didn't have children.
I needed someone who understood the intersection.
That's exactly what I created with THRIVE. This is the program I wish I had, built specifically for high-achieving Black and Brown women navigating womanhood, motherhood, and career without sacrificing who they are or who they're becoming.
With 15+ years coaching and developing leaders, a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, a degree from Spelman College, and lived experience as a working mom of two. I'm not just teaching theory. I'm sharing the exact framework that transformed my own life.
